Asset Manager Job Description and Profile
Asset manager is an individual who works in property division of medium or big scale firms. Whether the asset is a real estate or software, asset manager’s main responsibility is to supervise all the activities related to the asset management. The manager collaborates with other business entities in order to provide support require for the successful accomplishment of company goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing activities together with IT architects, business, finance, procurement, legal units, in negotiating vendor contracts and analyzing proposals to acquire software, hardware or service resources.
- Maintaining current knowledge of software or hardware changes and planning changes appropriate in response to business needs.
- Managing and tracking software licenses, reviewing and managing IT resource volume and expenditure purchase agreements.
- Defining equipment configuration standards and evaluation criteria.
- Developing, implementing and supervising maintenance of chargeback and allocation process for the equipments of information system.
- Supervising maintenance or development of tracking systems for software or hardware acquisition and related services.
- Negotiating service level agreements, licensing agreements, and assigning compliance levels.
- Providing technological leadership to develop technology solutions that meet product benefit or cost expectations.
- Evaluating industry innovations, maturity, trends, and changes regularly to plan and recommend in introducing new technologies.
- Supervising, managing, motivating, and training staff ensuring that they employ the best professional methods, practices, and standards to all services they deliver.
- Preparing or supervising the preparation of specifications, drawings, and other required contract documentation to obtain competitive tenders and quotations.
