A Camp Attendant’s job entails taking care of the camp site and ensuring that it is secure and hygienically habitable for the campers at all times. In line with the security maintenance of the camp’s security, the attendant ensures that in the event of an emergency he is able to react swiftly and address the need in question. He also needs to prepare and maintain facilities and equipment, and services; explaining facilities; giving tours; obtaining guest registration information,etc.
Duties and Responsibilities
Camp attendant job duties include the following as listed below;
- Giving tours to the campers
- Obtaining all campers’ registration information, for recording
- Ensuring overall hygienic conditions of the bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, kitchen floors and dining areas in the campsite.
- Ensuring that the beds have clean linen and that they are neat and tidy at all times
- Disinfecting the appliances in the utility rooms.
- Undertaking administrative tasks that include sending and responding to emails as required
Skills and Specifications
Camp attendant job skills needed to undertake this kind of a job are as indicated under:
- The candidate needs to have training and possibly be a certified First Aid specialist
- Also have skills and preferably certification in food and beverage safety
- Should have a keen eye for detail
- Should have great interpersonal skills
- Be very pleasant and very presentable to portray a good image of the establishment
Education and Qualifications
- The Candidate for this position needs to be in possession of a high school diploma
- Experience in camp maintenance is highly essential
