Dieticians are those types of health professionals who have the duty of developing healthy meal plans for their patients and clients. They also oversee the process of meal preparation in order to ensure a high-quality presence of nutrition in the diet. They can work in a number of areas- from the hospitals to that of other types of care facilities and even in schools, cafeterias etc.
Dietician Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Overseeing the preparation of meals and planning the meals for hospitals, nursing homes, schools etc.
- Planning meals in accordance to the nutritional needs of the patients and preventing illnesses by preparing healthy food plans that help to boost the immune system.
- Creating meal plans which would help to fit the patient’s needs.
- Educating the community on different types of healthy eating practices.
- Working on the public health advertisements specially, on matters of dietary habits and providing lectures on educational seminars held at different institutions.
- Ordering food supplies and also monitoring the process of preparing the meals.
- Working with patients in order to create individual meal plans for the patients and other clients.

- Bachelor’s degree in any one of courses- health, chemistry, biology, mathematics etc.
- Strong communication skills has to be an inbuilt quality in order to interact effectively with clients, patients etc.
