A management trainee who works for a project or venture is called an enterprise management trainee. He works under a supervisor and creates and executes work plans which would help the company function more efficiently and help bring in profits.
Duties and Responsibilities
- An enterprise management trainee formulates strategies to ensure successful project work and revises the plans to meet changing needs and requirements
- He analyses and identifies the resources required to complete reach those objectives
- He helps manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project
- He checks the quality assurance procedures and ensure quality of products and services
- He assists in making plans which would help minimize risks in a project
- He must file records properly and ensure that all project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- He may have to tracks and reports to his supervisor about team hours and expenses
- He analyses and manages project budget and gives suggestions on how to increase revenues
- He ensures timely and accurate invoicing and monitors receivables for a project
- He also has to interact with clients and follows up with them when necessary
- He studies project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization
- He suggests areas for improvement with possible solutions
Skills and Specifications
- He must be a good communicator and possess potential leadership skills
- He should understand basic revenue models and billing process
- He must work for the team and have good interpersonal communication skills
- He should interact with customers cordially and understand their problems and give solutions
- Knowledge of technical details and their application is also required
Education and Qualifications
Candidates need to possess a commerce degree or a bachelor’/master’s degree in business management. Specialisation in sales and marketing would help in this field too.
