Front Office Supervisor Job Profile and Description

The successful front office supervisor will be responsible for the reception desk, carrying out general administration duties and will be required to assist with the day to day running of the company.

Roles and Responsibilities

The front office supervisor job responsibilities are as follows:

  • To carry out the day to day administration of the front office, including answering telephones, emails, and distribution of posts.
  • Answering queries from visitors, residents, prospective residents and parents, and referring them to contact points at which they can obtain further information
  • Liaising with other departments regarding matters arising: for example, security of the building and finances
  • Compilation and reviewing of daily reports, logs and lists
  • Completion of cashier and closing reports
  • Reporting to the building office any maintenance that needs attention at a facility or building
  • In charge of following through maintenance issues when required
  • Assist with the duties of other departments that have limited staff
  • Supervise day to day running of the front office
  • Ensure that high standards are delivered to the guests
  • Make sure there is a speedy resolution to any problems that may arise

Skills and Specifications

A front office supervisor job skills required to work in this field include:

  • Possession of proven supervisory skills in front office
  • Ability to work under high pressure
  • Possession of strong communication and organization skills
  • Must be computer literate with adequate knowledge in Microsoft Office programs

Education and Qualifications

  • Should have a minimum degree in a relevant subject
  • 2-3 years experience in front desk supervision will be an advantage
