Duties and Responsibilities
Hospitality sales manager job duties include the following:
- Continue to build and manage while further developing the company hospitality sales team
- Service existing hospitality clients nationally and in some cases internationally, including designers, purchasers, corporate chains and individual end-users
- Solicit new business for this sector nationally and manage projects that may be specified domestically and scheduled to be purchased internationally
- Work closely with all parties associated with the projects
- Negotiate pricing while minimizing discounts
- Interface with strategic marketing programs and new product roll outs
- Plan, manage and attend sector specific trade shows
- Liaison between clients, account coordinators, different sales specialists and other sector directors
- Recruiting and training hospital sales staff
- Supervising, motivating and monitoring team performance
- Allocating areas to hospitality sales executives
- Setting hospital budgets/targets as well as reporting back to senior managers
- Liaising with hospital customers which may include actual selling of hospital insurance policies
- Keeping abreast of what competitors are doing.
