Manufacturing operations manager is responsible to ensure that the production of the company runs without hassles. He supervises various activities related to production and workforce. Manufacturing operations managers are employed in industries with large production facilities. They oversee aspects of production; find problems in the system, errors or damage in the machinery and performance of the staff.

Manufacturing Operations Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that various aspects of manufacturing run smoothly
  • Ensuring that raw materials required for production are well stocked and delivered on time
  • Ensuring that finished products are properly packed and either shipped or stored in warehouses

Manufacturing Operations Education, Training and Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is required for the job. The most preferred degree is bachelor of engineering in mechanical or industrial production subjects. Experience and training are crucial in order to understand the practical aspects of production.

Manufacturing Operations Degrees, Courses & Certification

The minimum degree required is bachelors in subjects such as logistics, engineering or business. Master’s degree in business administration, production management and engineering or logistics is very much preferred. The applicant must have worked in the manufacturing sector and directly involved in the process of manufacturing.
