An office electrician is a person who supervises and handles all the electric work in an office either as a permanent employee of the office or on contract basis. He alone or with his team is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair or all electric devices, lights, points and connections in the office. He also has to remove or rearrange switching, maintain safety standards, make the employees aware of the electric safety measures they are supposed to follow or what to do during times of electricity failure or any accidents. He conducts servicing of phones, TVs, internet routers and any other communication devices. He needs to have training to work as an electrician and must have basic education so that he can read instructions and communicate well with the people in the office.

The duties and responsibilities of an office electrician will involve:
- Installing, repairing and maintain electric power systems, wiring and control equipment in the office
- Studying blueprints or technical diagrams to know where exactly to make repairs without causing any damage to the structure of the building
