Duties and Responsibilities

  • The main job of a retail management trainee is to participate in various experiments and short term projects introduced by the senior management.
  • He would be responsible to work on any kind of project implemented by senior management and expected to excel in them.
  • He must be able to work under the Store manager as per the requirements.
  • He might be allotted the basic guidelines for any short term goal and expected to improvise on them and attain the desired results.
  • He might have to work in various divisions of the company like personnel management, operational management and sales management.
  • He might be given a problem, and expected to work with the store manager for devising a suitable and feasible solution for the same.
  • He is responsible to develop and strengthen existing and new projects and plans to meet the client’s objectives.
  • He is required to collect data from the company or outside the company and pass those to the analytical team as and when required.
  • He may need to suggest new methods and techniques for the betterment of the store.

Those who are interested in becoming a retail management trainee must be pursuing MBA from a reputed college. Ideally, he should be specializing in retail management or supply management. Marketing students are also preferred for such job slots.
