Room Attendant Job  Description

room attendant’s job is mainly to ensure that the rooms are clean, neat and tidy at all times, this involves making sure that the  general appearance of the room, is not only hygienic but that it is also well decorated to make the room look attractive and very appealing to the guests inhabiting it.

Duties and Responsibilities

Room attendant job responsibilities range from, but not limited to:

    • Vacuum cleaning and dusting the rooms to ensure that they are in a spotless nature for the occupancy of the guests
    • Reacting to any complaints or concerns as may pertain to the guests, and have the concerns dealt with accordingly
    • Should ensure the room’s equipment and facilities are functioning properly and report any faulty appliances
    • Is supposed to check for dirty linen in the rooms in order to get them replaced
    • Inspect the rooms and report appropriately on their status

Room attendant job skills include the following;

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Should be very patient and have high tolerance
  • Should possess and display high levels of energy since the job demands that you operate on 15 to 25 rooms a day depending on the size of the work force

Education and Qualifications

  • A high school diploma is necessary
  • Post High school training in house keeping is highly essential
