A school receptionist is appointed in schools to take care of front office responsibilities. She greets the visitors and guides them as per their requirements. Duties and Responsibilities
? She has to welcome parents, new students and other visitors and has to help them regarding their respective official requirements.
? She has to keep reception and front office clear and to maintain peace in her working area.
? A school receptionist has to attend calls and to keep records of black & white correspondence including letters, couriers and other posts.
? She is responsible for booking meeting rooms and auditoriums for high level functions.
? Her duty is to communicate with pupils and parents regarding other official work through e-mails, internal mails and telephonic calls.
? She has to register visitor entries and has to keep a record of incoming/ outgoing bulk mailer system.
? She has to take care of various administrative works in a school.

? She must have pleasing personality and effective communication skills in terms of reading, writing and speaking.
? A school receptionist should be able to maintain personal standard of dress, professional behaviour and confidence.
? She should be able to connect and run peripheral devices including printer and scanner etc.

Education and Qualification
A school receptionist must be a graduate from any stream. A course or diploma in management and related field will prove to be beneficial.
