A telecom billing analyst is responsible for analysis and investigation of usage charges, download logs of the users and also offers technical advice related to the job. He works with clients and identifies functional requirements and subsequently designs the client’s billing solution. A telecom analyst shares similar job profiles to that a telecom specialist, network analyst, IT security person, technical support executive, or that of field service technician.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • A telecom billing analyst compiles the telecom services inventory
  • He is in charge of new accounts assigned
  • He inspects the telecom usage charges by looking at invoices and inputs of customer service representatives
  • He has to identify billing errors and works together with people from other departments like the IT department, telecom, networking system, finance etc
  • He also be asked to investigate and offer advice to employees in other divisions
  • In the absence of regular technicians, the telecom analyst may have to handle minor technical issues
  • He must make in depth data validation checks
