Duties and Responsibilities

  • Helps travelers through various information channels to make the best possible travel arrangements
  • Giving clients advice on destinations they wish or can visit
  • Make arrangements for transportation, accommodation, car hire tours and recreation activities for the clients while on tour
  • Provide the clients with information on customs regulations, required travel documents, certificates of vaccinations and  currency exchange rates
  • Apply sales and marketing skills to be able to acquire clients/tourists
  • A travel agent has the responsibility of ensuring that very inquiry one calls to make he closes into a sale
  • He helps individuals/would be clients to best understand their trip routes and the duration of their entire journey and nature of their travel, be it leisure or business

Education and Qualifications

  • To be qualified for this position one requires to have some practical and formal training and preferably experience  in tourism or transportation
